What is this all about?
Post #1. The first post for tumbler. It’s time to tell who I am and what am I doing.
I’m a young artist from Northern Finland and I’m inspired by many very different kind of things. Hot air balloons, Finnish nature, silence, motorcycles, birds, birdhouses, boots and American old west itself. I like aerial things, spaces, space, and conversations between different elements and materials. I like to play around and experience.
The name of Buxo is very meaning. Based in old Latin it means something like “evergreen” and “box”. Birdhouses are made from as ever-lasting materials as possible and that’s why I like to use for example concrete and metal. I want to make long-lasting art and quite often it means heavy materials.
Under the name of Buxo I have done mostly birdhouses, but BUXO™ is not only about birdhouses. BUXO makes also all kinds of quiet environmental art projects.
